As reported by TechCrunch, Shopify has announced that it will drop its commissions on its app store to $0 for developers making less than $1 million on its platform. The company says that the benchmark will also reset annually and that, if they do make over $1 million, Shopify will only charge a 15% fee of revenue over that million-dollar mark.
The same business model will apply to Shopify's Theme Store, which opens to developer submissions July 15.
