NRL superstar Latrell Mitchell is under fire for attempting to kick a rival player in the head during a match where he was reported for several dangerous plays.
The South Sydney Rabbitohs' player is facing up to four games on the sidelines and $4200 in fines after being charged over three separate match incidents, including narrowly missing the head of Wests Tigers' Luke Garner with his boot.
Mitchell has been hit with two dangerous contact charges as well as a contrary conduct charge for the kicking offence following his side's golden point win over the Tigers on Saturday.
The fullback faces a $2100 fine when he fronts the NRL judiciary for lashing out with his leg to shake the grip of Garner and attempting to kick the Tigers forward in the head in the process. An early guilty plea would cost him $1600.
