CLIFTON PARK — Shenendehowa Central School District began random COVID-19 testing Wednesday.
The school district had been awaiting approval from the Saratoga County Health Department to operate as a Limited Service Laboratory (LSL), which authorizes school nurses to test asymptomatic students and staff for the coronavirus.
The district has obtained 3,800 COVID-19 rapid test kits from the state Department of Health. The tests are non-invasive, involving a Q-tip that is rotated in the tip of the nose.
