Duties and responsibilities
The purpose of the Shelter Project Manager position is to oversee the implementation of the Urban Shelter project portfolio implemented across host communities in Jordan. The Urban Shelter programme aims to provide adequate shelter solutions to vulnerable refugees and Jordanians. The programme provides shelter rehabilitation, WASH upgrades, rental support, and includes components of energy efficiency, renewable energy and kits for those with physical disabilities. The programme operates in Irbid and Mafraq and supports approximately 2,500 households a year. The Project Manager position oversees a team of nearly 30 staff and reports to the Area Manager for Host Communities. The programme is also supported by a dedicated Specialist team, reporting to the Head of Programme, focused on technical guidance.
