There are no strict rules when it comes to choosing which pronouns fit you best.
The key is to “take your time,” said Dennis Quesnel, a project manager at Egale, which is an advocacy group for LGBTQ people in Canada.
And know that your choice “might not always stick.”
That’s OK, said Louis.
“There's going to be a lot of information coming in, coming at you from different angles. There's going to be your parents' opinion, your friend's opinion, the internet's opinion … and it's OK to not be OK all the time. And it's OK to not know and not have the answers,” Louis said.
