The last major chart Shazam launched was its Discovery Top 50 chart in August 2019, which is designed to highlight music emerging on the platform and offer a “predictive view” for the industry. So far that has been successful -- Tones And I’s “Dance Monkey,” Powfu’s “death bed (coffee for your head)” feat. beabadoobee, Regard’s “Ride It” and Trevor Daniel’s “Falling” entered the Discovery Top 50 chart on average 11 weeks before reaching their peak position on Shazam’s Global Top 200 chart, and around three months prior to their streaming peaks.
