Shasta County could be placed into the red tier

REDDING, Calif. – Shasta County Public Health leaders say that the county could be placed in the red tier in two weeks.
Officials say the county’s equity metric is in the orange tier and the rate of testing positive has dropped. On Tuesday, the county reported that the test positivity rate dropped from 5.5% to 4.9%.
