A Dollar General store in Sharpsburg Borough was temporarily shut down Friday after the health department discovered multiple pest violations.The store is located on Main Street.According to the Allegheny County Health Department, there was evidence of mice throughout the store. Droppings were found on the floor throughout the back storage room, in the women's bathroom, on several mobile storage carts, food shelves, pet food shelves and linen shelves.In order to reopen, the store must eliminate the pests, harborage area, food sources and entry sites, remove the droppings and thoroughly clean the store. Dollar General put a notice on the door alerting customers to the closure. There is no word on when they plan to reopen.
