Sharon Men’s Club Makes Donation to the Food Pantry at the First Congregational Church of Sharon
On May 21st the Sharon Men’s Club proudly donated $500 to the Food Pantry at the First Congregational Church of Sharon. The gift is to support the pantry’s efforts to combat food insecurity for families in Sharon and surrounding towns. “The COVID-19 Pandemic has caused many people to struggle with feeding their families.” said Roger Barmash, President of the Sharon Men’s Club. “We are happy we can help the Food Pantry’s efforts to help these needy families.” The food pantry has been in existence since 1992 and is an outreach initiative of the church whose purpose is to serve those who are living with food insecurity. The food pantry is located next to the public library at the First Congregational Church of Sharon on 29 N. Main St. is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 to 11 a.m. Sundays. Open to all church members, residents of Sharon and of surrounding towns the food pantry is supported through donations by church members and the larger community.
