A new phase was recently launched for European Union’s (EU) Support to Higher Education in the ASEAN Region (SHARE) programme.
The new phase will support 300 students for one semester of intra-ASEAN physical mobility before the end of 2022, as well as the harmonisation of ASEAN higher education institutions and the formulation of ASEAN high education frameworks.
A joint press release stated that in doing so, ASEAN and the EU will share experience, including the EU’s Erasmus scheme. The EU has allocated EUR5 million for this purpose, and the support will build on the previous successful SHARE programme, which ran since 2015.
