A SHANKLIN man got drunk on brandy and hurled abuse at his neighbours, a court heard.
Stephen Mark Newey, 65, of Arthurs Hill, appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on Wednesday (January 27).
He admitted two counts of using threatening and abusive words towards two women.
Ann Smout, prosecuting, said on August 8, the women had been working in their front garden when they heard lots of shouting from the flats backing on to their property.
When the noise got closer, they saw Newey walking along the road, shouting and swearing. He crossed the road and walked toward the two victims, shouting at them directly and calling them lesbians.
