Shane Erickson, Inc. issues voluntary nationwide recall of hand sanitizer due to potential for methanol exposure

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Shane Erickson, Inc. DBA Innovative Marketing Consultants, has issued a nationwide recall through the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the following products:
Lot 2020/05/11 and MFG 2020/05/10 L/N 20200510-3 of IMC Wash-Free Hand Sanitizer 50ml, 100ml, and 300ml
Wash Free Hand Sanitizer 300 ml Lot 2020/05/11
Thrifty White Pharmacy Wash-Free Hand Sanitizer 300 ml Lot 2020/05/11
These products are being recalled due to the potential for the presence of methanol (wood alcohol). Substantial methanol exposure can cause nausea, vomiting, headache, blurred vision, permanent blindness, seizures, coma, permanent damage to the nervous system, and death.
