"The statement is real and it came from all of us – the Barisan MPs who support Muhyiddin," said the Perikatan Nasional backbenchers chairman.
"Those who don't agree can declare so themselves. But I and Padang Besar MP (Datuk Zahidi Zainul Abidin) are for it – and so are many others," he told The Star on Friday (July 9).
Shahidan said that the statement by Barisan MPs in support of Muhyiddin as prime minister was signed by a majority of MPs from the coalition.
"Maybe only one or two are against it. But as you can see, MPs from Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Terengganu, Negri Sembilan and other states are for it," he said.
