There are many different ways, through our website and other means, to comment on the plan. There will be several public hearings with our board of directors, and ultimately theyll adopt the plan in april. The 2020 Business Plan really builds on a lot of things we said in our 2018 plan and 2019 project update reports. It continues to advance towards getting electrified highspeed rail running in california, making the initial investments we need to do in order to get trains on the ground, maintaining are bookends projects, and getting the rest of the system shovelready. It highlights at this point were looking at 350 miled rail being built in california in the next year or so. Thats a huge progress being made. Business plans on ww. C ww. Chr. Com. Having since opened with vibrancy in the Transit Center, we have s. F. Open. We expect to have 50 of the figures to be opened in the next two or three months. Were about 80 leased. We expect all leased areas to be opened following this yearin the fallof this yea. I would like to update you on an issue that was mentioned authority was mentioned in a federal complaint related to our retail leasing program. As vice chair gi noted, there was no wrongdoing and it was unfortunate that the t. G. A. Was mentioned. Were confident win the process we have in place, including detailed and public reporting of all of our leases. We welcome independent reviews of our program. Last week the city controller informed me he will include the t. G. P. A. In the citywide review that he is conducting. We welcome this scrutiny, and we willfull will fully cooperate with the city reporter. Our chief Security Officer is retiring next month. Sidney, come on up. He was structuraher work helpeds seamlessly open the Transit Center to the public and ensures that everyone who visits the Transit Center is welcome and safe. I thank yo thank her and congratulate her on her rye. Thanretirement. Thank you. I wish you all the best. It is a wonderful project. Ill be following it from afar. But youve got to share with the board what your next endeavor is . My husband and i started an oil and gas company in east tennessee about a year ago, and it is growing, and now im going to go back and run the company. Congratulations. Con grafts congrats. And ro Rodney Harris has agreed to take the role. He joined us in 2017, and has proven to be in intrical part of the security team. He has a vast majority of experiences. He worked tirelessly before we opened the center. The infrastructure is functioning. Rodney not only brings a great depth to his role, but he provided a seamless transition. Thank you. First i would like to thank mark forgiving me this opportunity. As i look forward to engaging the members of this board and working with you on behalf of t. G. P. A. As it relates to our security program. Thank you. Thank you. And finally, as we reported to you last sunday, a tower failed and impacted the park and the streets and the sidewalks around the Transit Center. As a precaution, t. G. P. A. Prepared to close the park. The buses were rerouted to the surrounding streets. Throughout the incident, we were in close contact with the city officials. We reopened the bus plaza after the streets were reopened, and we reopened the park after a thorough cleanup. It is incidents like this that helps us improve our overall Communication Security protocols. So we can serve our transit riders and public the best we can. This concludes my report, directors. Thank you. All right. If there are no questions for the board, well move to next item. Item 6 is Public Comments and to address issues that are not on this calendar. And now we can move into our next calendar. Item 7 is a selection of a director to preside over this meeting in the absence of a chair or the vice chair. So do we have a motion to nominate a director . I would like to nominate director hersh to be the chair of the meeting. With a first and a second, any other nominations . Seeing none, seeing that, director chang . [roll call] six yeas approving the motion to select director hersh to preside over this meeting. With that, ill pass you the gavel. With that piece of business under way, you are scheduled to go into closed session at this time. We have a member of the public that wants to provide comment. Mr. Patrick. Good morning, directors, jim patrick, patrick and company. Welcome to the two new directors. You spent 250 million in building buttresses in the system. To do the job of bu buttressing. We cant let the neighbours building sink into our building. Thats a requirement. The buttresses have done, and are doing, their job. Theyre five foot in diameter. Go down to bedrock about 250, and there are about 250 of these buttresses to protect our property. Thats 250 to the third power dollars, feet. Now, im not an engineer, but i can figure out whats going to happen if the building adjacent to us sinks. It wont sink into our buttresses because we prevented that. Good plan. And i do a lot of boating. When i go and anchor a boat, if i put an anchor in soft mud, i know im going to sleep all night long. If i put the anchor is sort of a slimey sea grass, i dont plan on going to bed. The millennium is sort of a slimey sea grass. We have a grass by the Public Document i didnt produce it today it shows the sinking rate of millennium tower. It is predictable. It is constant. And it has been that way since we started. The graph is right there, very predictable. We can do nothing, but now were going to have a closed session about what we should do. Should we settle this case . I find it objectionable that this is not public. Given that fact, i want to bring your attention that i think you should just say no. Weve done our job, weve protected our system. Send the lawyers home. If you buy into some sort of payment over a long period of time, it is like being hooked on a drug, it will go on and on and on. [buzzer] just say no. Thank you. All right. That concludes members of the public that wanted to address you under that item. Director hersh. I believe we can recess this and call closed session. Yes, sir. All right, the closed session has adjourned and the t. G. P. A. Board of directors meeting is now back in open session. Item 13, announcement of closed session, there is nothing to report. That concludes your agenda. And ill adjourn your meeting. Good afternoon and welcome to the hearing for february 13th, 2020. I would remind members that we do not tolerate disruptions. Please silence your cell phones and when speaking before the commission, do state your name for the record. Ill take role at this time. role call . We expect commissioner richards to be absent today.
