SEVERE weather alerts and Met Office warnings as snow falls

Highways England warns of snow, icy and rain affecting travel conditions this morning, as this weather camera at Dishforth shows
SNOW, ice and heavy rain are again affecting travel conditions in the region.
Many parts of the North-East and North Yorkshire have seen snow overnight and early this morning and there are reports of widespread ice.
A yellow weather warning issued by The Met Office remains in place until midnight and Highways England has issued a severe weather alert for snow affecting much of the north of England from 3am to 3pm today.
