There are several civic meetings on tap for tonight. The Mount Carmel City Council has a light agenda for their meeting this afternoon. They will meet at 4 PM at Mount Carmel City Hall. The standard council reports will come in. The council under new business will look to donate a squad car to WEMA and look at a resolution. The Flora City Council is set to meet this afternoon at 4:30 at Flora City Hall. On the agenda, the council will look to make a purchase with Clay Group Limited Partnership, have an agreement in place for services with Fehr Graham and Associates, look into a special ordinance authorizing the ceding of private activity bonding authority, and work on an item with B & H Recycling. The board will also look at hiring a new telecommunicator for the police department, plus go through the standard communications reports. The Albion City Council is set to meet at 7 this evening at Albion City Hall. Under old business, the city will talk about a water tap with Grayville and a new water connection, oil-and-chipping of streets this summer, and check on the status of a burned house at 397 North 4th Street. Under new business, the council will look at city employee pay raises, cemetery mowing bids, and sewer line repair bids.
