An active seven-year-old boy who liked Super Mario, sports and once won third place in a track race, had been taking judo lessons for just two weeks when he suffered severe brain hemorrhaging after being slammed to the floor 27 times during practice.

The Taiwanese boy went into a coma and was put on life support, bbc.co.uk reports, but his parents decided to pull the plug after nearly 70 days. He would likely have remained in a vegetative state had he survived.
