Seven Fijian Police officers including their immediate supervisor have been sent on leave pending an internal investigation in relation to the impersonation case at the Raiwaqa Police Station in Suva.
Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu said the incident had brought the laxity of a few middle managers to the forefront.
“I take responsibility for the incident and give my assurances that the matter will be dealt with through our internal disciplinary measures,” ACP Tudravu said.
“… We are working on further strengthening our internal processes and procedures to avoid a repeat of what transpired.”
