President Aleksandar Vucic's Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) is leading in the early general elections on Sunday 17 December with 46.6% of the vote. The opposition alliance Serbia Against Violence (SPN) is expected to come in second with 23%, while the Socialist Party of Serbia led by outgoing Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic is lagging behind with 6.9%. A total of 18 parties and alliances are vying for the support of 6.5 million voters for 250 seats in parliament.
