A month-long investigation into the distribution of drugs in Atlantic City led to two people being arrested on Friday.
The Atlantic City Police Department says officers with their Special Investigations Section executed a residential search warrant in the 2600 block of Pacific Avenue Friday. They say the operation was the culmination of a month-long investigation into the distribution of drugs.
According to police, "during the search, detectives located two ounces of cocaine, 176 bags of heroin, prescription pills, a small amount of marijuana, and items used to distribute the narcotics."
27-year-old Abu Rasheed of Atlantic City was charged with four counts of possession of CDS, three counts of possession with intent to distribute CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 1,000 feet of a school zone (three counts), and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.
