The new year has the folks at AfterShock kicking off a new series and it’s definitely going with a bang with Scouts Honor. It’s a surreal experience in reading David Prepose’s work just as we see terrorists breach the capitol building at the same time and it had me going back for a good re-read afterward. The two clearly aren’t connected but the surreal aspect is definitely there and it heightens my interest in the book all the more. Pepose’s script is solid throughout this but Luca Casalanguida, a really talented artist, takes it to the next level wonderfully as we see the new kinds of life that exist in this world and the kind of ruin that they also live alongside.
