A state grand jury indicted a Scottsdale woman on Monday for one count of illegal voting and one count of perjury for allegedly voting in the name of a deceased person in the 2020 General Election, according to a statement from Attorney General Mark Brnovich.
Tracey Kay McKee allegedly signed the name of her mother, who died on Oct. 5, 2020, to an early ballot envelope between Oct. 7 and Nov. 3, 2020, according to Brnovich.
The case was investigated by the Arizona Attorney General's Office's Election Integrity Unit and will be prosecuted by Assistant Attorney General Todd Lawson, Brnovich said.
McKee's next court appearance is set for August 11 at the Maricopa County Superior Court, Brnovich said.
