Things will be different this year as the Scottsbluff-Gering United Chamber of Commerce holds their awards banquet virtually Tuesday afternoon.
Chamber Director Karen Anderson says due to gathering restrictions still in place because of the virus pandemic, the decision was made to move the annual event online, and the festivities will get underway at 4 p.m.
“We will be honoring some outstanding leaders, also recognizing our outgoing board members and we’ll pass the gavel, so it’s a great opportunity to see who’s been involved in the Chamber this past year,” said Anderson. Jeri Goodman takes the gavel to become the 2021 board chair, taking over from outgoing chair Katie Camacho.
