Scots Gulf War veteran with brain injury 'being refused help' to move to care home by council

A GULF War veteran left with a brain injury after tumbling down steps is being refused help to move to a care home by council chiefs, it was claimed.
Wheelchair-bound John O’Neill, 54, was dismayed at being told he doesn’t meet criteria to enter an Erskine facility, set up to look after military vets.

The former tank sergeant served 19 years in the Royal Scottish Dragoon Guards, fighting in conflicts in Iraq, Bosnia and Kosovo in the 1990s, before his horror accident at a base in Fallingbostel, Germany, in 2000.
