THE trial of Scottish actor Kevin Guthrie on a charge of sexually assaulting a woman in Glasgow’s west end began in the city’s sheriff court yesterday.
The 29-year-old woman, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, testified that the alleged assault took place in the home of actor Scott Reid, who played Methadone Mick in the BBC comedy series Still Game.
Guthrie, 33, who starred in the films Sunshine on Leith, Sunset Song and the 2016 remake of Whisky Galore!, denies the charge.
The court was told that the woman and the two men knew each other from the past and had been due to meet at a bar on the night of the alleged attack on September 30, 2017.
