After decades of plans, discussions and dreams, a new Scituate Senior Center has become a reality.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on May 13 to officially introduce the facility to the community.
“It is a true pleasure to stand here before you – in the sun/shadows adjacent to our new Senior Center,” said JD Miller, chairperson of the Scituate Council on Aging board of directors as he greeted those in attendance in the patio area outside the building. “This has been a long time coming. And, it is long overdue. This building represents a new beginning, and a welcoming, for all residents of Scituate.”
