Scientists raise alarm over bird flu strain spreading in China with 'pandemic potential', which has killed one person this year

UK and Chinese scientists issued a warning after lab tests on ferrets and mice infected with the bird flu strain showed humans could be 'vulnerable to infection at epidemic or pandemic proportions'.
