Bengaluru city police have directed schools to enhance security measures, including the introduction of metal detectors, handheld metal detectors, full HD CCTVs, and CCTV coverage every 50 metres. Additionally, they recommended an open network video interface and 30 days of data storage, with staff appointed to monitor the CCTV control room.​
