CHILDREN have celebrated kindness and diversity with an explosion of colour at school.
Teachers and pupils at Knayton Church of England Academy Primary School, near Thirsk, held a colour run event on Tuesday as part of its current theme, 'a fair world'.
Headteacher Rachael Globe said: "Our learning mission this half term is 'a fair world'. It's so important to teach the children that in the past the world hasn't always been fair, and how they can spread kindness, fairness and equality in the future.
"We wanted to celebrate equality and diversity, and allow them to reflect on how they can make positive changes in the world. This fits in perfectly with our Christian ethos, as we are proud to be a church school.
