common platform to host them. Realising the need to bridge the information gap, the
National Scholarships Portal aims at acting as an
umbrella portal for implementing various scholarship schemes launched by the National, State and Union government. It is also an attempt to make the process of the scholarship application and
delivery of funds effective and faster.
The various services enabled on the portal range from student application, application receipt, processing, sanction to the disbursal of various scholarships. It hosts about
50 scholarships worth hundreds of crores. The platform has, so far, helped disburse scholarships worth more than INR 2,400 crores. The platform boasts of more than 110 lakh applications out of which over 85 lakh applications are verified.
