Scarborough has decided to fly the Union Flag above council-owned buildings every single day of the year.
Councillor Neil Heritage, leader of the Yorkshire Coast Independents Alliance, brought forward the motion to a Scarborough council meeting on Friday.
The Union Flag is set to fly over Scarborough Town Hall, Whitby Pavilion, Scarborough Spa and Filey's Evron Centre throughout the entire year, the Express reported.
