Maybe members of the Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools Class of 2021 can look forward to at least one normal thing their senior year — a graduation ceremony.
Graduation ceremonies were briefly discussed during the regular school board meeting Wednesday. Seniors can be happy that the topic is on the table, unlike last year when the COVID-19 pandemic kept the ceremonies from happening and schools resorted to drive-thru graduation events.
District Superintendent Ann Levett told the school board that she has received many questions about graduation ceremonies for the class of 2021. She said that tentative plans are being made for limited in-person graduation ceremonies this spring.
