Bengaluru: VK Sasikala, the key aide of late former chief minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalithaa has developed a 'severe chest infection' and has 'very high-sugar levels, the Victoria Hospital Bengaluru said on Thursday, news agency ANI reported. Shortly later, it was confirmed that she has tested positive for COVID-19, Victoria Hospital, Bengaluru said.
According to tweets posted by the agency, the Tamil Nadu leader was 'referred from Bowring & Lady Curzon Hospital with a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hypothyroidism, UTI & suspected SARI & treated with antibiotics, Insulin, Heparin & other supportive measures' and was admitted to the Victoria Hospital.
