About 1.2 million Sarawakians have registered to receive the vaccine.
KUCHING: Sarawak is on track to achieve its target of vaccinating 2.2 million people or 70% of the total population in the state by August.
Sarawak local government and housing minister Dr Sim Kui Hian said 83,588 people have received their first dose while 51,931 have completed two doses as of April 25.
He said 868,471 people or 41.9% (of the adult population) have registered for the vaccine via MySejahtera, however, the figure does not include registrations done manually.
“It is estimated there are about 1.2 million Sarawakians who have registered for the vaccine if we include those done manually – especially among the rural communities,” he told FMT.
