Sanford “Sandy” Grant Hess of Spring Valley. passed away Friday, Nov. 27, 2020 at the age of 81.
Sandy was a wonderful person who was loved by all. He was a great son, brother, father and grandfather, but most of all he was a friend. He loved life and made it better for many people over the years, 81 good ones.
He was born in New London, Connecticut, on Aug. 27, 1939. He was the son of Captain Franklin Grant Hess (USN) and Sarah June Evans. He moved around following his father’s Navel career, eventually landing in Coronado, where he spent his teenage years, graduating from Coronado High School in 1958.
