Sandra Anita DeLuca, 72, enjoyed teaching Sunday school at Northside Baptist Church

WILMINGTON — Ms. Sandra A. DeLuca was born Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1948, to the late Leo and Elizabeth DeLuca and departed this life Monday, May 24, 2021, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, completing her journey of 72 years.
Ms. Sandra had a fond love of her family and friends, especially her grandchildren, who she adorned. A faithful member of Northside Baptist Church, she enjoyed teaching her Sunday school class. She will be missed by all who had the opportunity to meet her.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years; and brother, David Dushane.
Ms. Sandra leaves behind to cherish her memories three sons, John R. DeLuca Jr. (Sara) of Wilmington, Andrew J. DeLuca {Jeri) of Rocky Point and Daniel DeLuca (Fallon); brother, William H. Dushane of Jacksonville Florida; sister, Lynne D. Cox of Rocky Point; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
