San Jose woman leads chase in stolen medical van with patient onboard [Santa Cruz Sentinel, Calif.]
Jan. 19—SANTA CRUZ — A 34-year-old woman was arrested Monday afternoon after leading several law enforcement agencies on a highway chase stretching from San Jose to downtown Santa Cruz.
The California Highway Patrol was called to assist San Jose Police with a reported kidnapping after a woman reportedly got into a medical transport van parked at a dialysis clinic in East San Jose, said CHP Officer Sam Courtney. In the back of the van was an 84-year-old man who was taken along for an at-times low-speed highway chase, Courtney said.
