San Bernardino County is progressing toward another COVID-19-related transition, this time to the yellow tier of California's reopening plan, which would mean the opening of more businesses with fewer restrictions, officials said this week.
As of Tuesday, the county’s adjusted case rate stood at 2.9 per 100,000 people, with an overall COVID-19 positivity rate of 1.7% and an equity positivity rate of 1.8%, county Chief Operating Officer Leonard Hernandez said during a Board of Supervisors meeting.
“We are making progress towards that,” he said. “I want to thank not only our staff but the entire community and our network of trusted communicators and providers of the vaccines for that progress.”
