Julián Castro endorses Ron Nirenberg in San Antonio mayoral race

Former San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro endorsed incumbent Ron Nirenberg to continue leading the city. 
Castro, who served as mayor until 2014 when he was tapped to become the U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, shared a thread of Twitter endorsements Monday with a link to donate to each of the candidates' campaigns. 
"@Ron_Nirenberg has been a tireless champion for San Antonio. He's helped families recover from the pandemic, revitalized small businesses, and continued the forward progress of our growing community," he said in the tweet. "I hope you will join me in supporting his reelection campaign!"
