SAN ANGELO — A San Angelo woman connected to the February shooting death of Rey Robles could avoid going to prison after pleading guilty Monday to a lesser charge.
About 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2021, Sierra Paula Maureen Camarillo attended a plea hearing in the 119th District Court. Camarillo was charged with tampering with evidence in the death of Robles on Feb. 26, 2021.
In exchange for her plea of guilt, the state suggested 6 years deferred adjudication. 119th District Judge Ben Woodward accepted the state's suggestion and sentenced her to 6 years deferred adjudication, a type of probation that could help her avoid conviction if she follows the rules of the agreement.
