Sharpen those circle hooks. Time to get those orders in for fresh caught ballyhoo. Better spool up those reels with fresh line.
It's time to go sailfishing. And if the bite is red hot, no one wants to be caught with dull hooks and without enough bait.
By the way, it could be really good fishing in the next several days. Maybe even epic.
The Pelican Yacht Club in Fort Pierce will host its 41st annual Billfish Tournament Jan. 5-9. A fleet of just fewer or just a few more than 20 boats will likely enter the affair, which takes place at the elegant private club on the south shore of the Fort Pierce Inlet.
