Sagamore crews finish early;

BOURNE — Relief for Route 6 drivers trying to get on and off Cape Cod arrived sooner than expected. Repair work on the Sagamore Bridge finished ahead of schedule, and all lanes are open for travel.
“Ultimately, this is a very good thing for the motoring public in general,” said John MacPherson, the Cape Cod Canal deputy manager for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District.
“We have the right work crews and resources on this job because we understand how important it is to get the work done and get off the bridges as fast as possible,” MacPherson added, as part of Friday's announcement.
