Safety seal urged for biz establishments, other facilities

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet, June 4 (PIA) - - The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is pushing for the adoption of a safety seal certification among business establishments, workplaces, hotels and other facilities which assures the consumers and the general public of their safety and compliance with the minimum public health standards set by the government to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
This is anchored on the National Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management and Emergence of Infectious Disease Resolution No. 87 series 2020 which directs DTI together with the Department of Health), Dept, of Labor and Employment, Dept. of the Interior and Local Government, Dept. of Tourism, and the Dept. of Transportation to issue a joint memorandum to detail the requirements on the safety seal certification, according to Richard Limpin III of DTI-Benguet.
