As many as 50,000 small to medium businesses will be paid $3000 each by the South Australian government under a $100 million support package to stem the economic damage from a seven-day lockdown, as health authorities battled a worsening COVID-19 outbreak.

Five of the new cases stemmed from people who had been at Tenafeate Creek Wines at Yattalunga near One Tree Hill on the north-eastern outskirts of Adelaide, on Sunday afternoon.
