WORTHINGTON — Ryan Kruger, a 19-year veteran of the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office, was sworn in Thursday morning as the county's new sheriff.
Kruger took his oath before a crowd of onlookers that included numerous members of the sheriff’s office and the Worthington Police Department, his family, and Kent Wilkening, who retired Wednesday after a 34-year career in law enforcement with Nobles County — the last 22 years as its sheriff.
