Sally Ryan, a resident of Oakwood Senior Citizen Housing in Caseville, has many fond memories of her childhood. Her family, originally from Poland, lived in old Detroit, before the interstate gave way to a new side of town.
Her birthday hasn't always been as certain as it might seem like it should be.
Sally remembers always celebrating her birthday on March 16. In school, teachers would ask, who has a birthday on St. Patrick’s Day?
