Neighbor says probation services should move closer to MPD headquarters on Highland
Public Square parking will be worse when Rutherford County's probation services return to the old Judicial Building, a neighbor contends.
"My concern is the traffic," said Larry Sims, who owns two nearby buildings in Murfreesboro, including his real estate brokerage and auctioneer office. "We don't have the room for them. We don’t have the parking for them."
The county's probation department has a staff of 21 serving recent counts of around 800 people on probation. It will relocate during the late spring or early summer from a leased West Main Street office to the former Judicial Building on the north side of the Square, spokesperson Ashley McDonald said.
