Rural Erskine residence likely a total loss after fire

The cause of the fire remains undetermined and is under investigation by the state fire marshal.

ERSKINE, Minn. – A residence in rural Erskine appears to be a total loss after a structure fire on Monday, Feb. 15.
Polk County deputies responded to 21475 300th St. SE just before 5:20 p.m. for a report of a fire, according to a release from the Polk County Sheriff's Office. When they arrived, deputies found the residence engulfed in flames.
The occupants of the house were away for the season, according to a sergeant with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and no one was injured in the blaze. The fire is not being treated as suspicious, he said.
