Government is not the solution to our problem government is the. First priority presuppose there will be. One of the points that we really felt was important to get across when youre talking about cause and effect as priorities if nobodys making money on it i not a commodity then it has no value and it shouldnt it isnt a priority of the federal government so housing that was just some people that was not a commodity that was just a living up to the responsibilities of the federal government to people have a clean safe and place to live thats not important anymore thats not. George Herbert Walker bush will be on the. Loose all over the water bush has brought Hussein Obama do solemnly swear i told john trump do you solemnly swear. The world makes the work of the wages of Living Standards of working. Or declined since the late seventys. The numbers of people who grow because of the growth of the population the supply. To the to nearly the same. So somebody is going to get squeezed out and theres somebody you know most people the moment the people over the country have been squeezed out of the bottom. So now theres a new Public Housing so the shelter system is like a Public Housing so because housing is not treated as even the writer of the title meant which it should be the country is full of uses. And order for us to get. And be right back to society and company as you try to buy solve this issue scott on. A fundamental right like having food and fish. I think anybody care to. Politicians have concluded that there is no answer because the answer requires resources i dont believe thats true i think that housing is the answer homelessness that you have to have Supportive Housing yet were not willing to prioritize that as siding in the crazy thing is that were paying for it anyway we jail a homeless person is San Francisco a cost 140. 00 a night thats about what it costs and some ill fairly nice hotels outside of the city yet we insist on believing that criminalization of almost this is the answer that if we push people who are being homeless and being mentally ill that theyre going to cure themselves and be off the streets when in fact it just becomes a cycle. Tearing their hair it. Seems. Like. I have right trish subway. Is the best. You can give me. A shilling. I have a place to stay stay with me there were great. Use of the strip. 00000 s. No im not out there doing things its going to cost me a model that im this man you know am i going to stay all calling you want a job in my area and its murder whatever. I want you have a chance if. You want to 1st i was actually attacked by a guy from behind there when he hit me in the face and inching choked me around my neck or survivorman. Everything then december 13th i was hit in the head with a rock for me high they actually caught that guy couple what is later to a week i actually in the phone into a seizure due to that and my book. He was going to his spot with little me come back and check off on me because i was laying out here by the ark. Its not everybody know it in in the year and its its more dangerous for women the world is more dangerous for women in that. They get lost in the in their. Overall tapestry of armistice i mean everybodys heart breaks for their children 1st of all and rightly so then there is the veteran then there is the mentally ill. You would lose a specific population only women that are having there is specific needs to a we do enough so you know we made it a priority and by that we pushed through in it any beds available to them or to listen to a year ago there were hardly any beds available for them and its an unsafe place for women to. Tell all daughters to not walk in the streets or at night in a dark thats the sort of imagine that you have no work to go. Or know what i need when something. Or were. Were. In the us is being told in the quantity of good way to figure out which side of it your on is with your company planes on h. B. O. To. Me shit like bush workers calling for a much higher minimum wage workers at mcdonalds wendys Dominos Pizza and more will want not the job getting. The work of the federal d minimum wage is one created 938. 00 under the fair labor standards act ok which was in response to a 1000000 people wandering our nation looking for jobs it was the same and after the Depression Congress got together and started to say well we should set a standard that ensures that if somebody puts in their 40 hours in a week they can afford the basics so. It makes sense and makes sense to me it makes sense to you so we take that in a brace that good the problem is they never index it didnt think so they just keep picking this number out of the year and those halves of Congress Fight over debate over it and go do that and that and it and it back and forth and so. You know maybe get raised a dollar maybe its 0. 75 whatever so we sort of started this problem backwards you know we now have 3500000. 00 people experiencing homelessness in this nation and what we could tell that house the homeless. Theres tremendous efforts to try and deal with the fallout you know. Some more successful than others some different approaches like housing 1st get off the streets and then start dealing with them you know its one you know we aus omes believes in thats a new Organization Says 989 so you know thats approach we are. And i used to look at this population as. Who they are the breakdown the better and. Recently released people out of the penal system single women single women with children substance abusers alcoholics. Really really all the different factions but now we stood back and looked at the folly of that approach and realize that in order to really deal with it in this society which is couples we view them as. This whole this group falls d into 22 factions those who can work and those who cant work so we walk away with this way its 77 dollars in the quarter and d but i i live in america and anybody whos lived in america has traveled anybody whos traveled is travel to someplace whats more expensive than where they came from and to travel someplace with less expense right now the government uses the concept of one size fits all. So they keep doing its like 70 court for everybody so whether you live in washington d. C. Or with a harley engine texas theyre going to set it to 7 decor right now theres talk of raising it to 10 dollars an hour well the day that adds pass to 10. 00 an hour thats the president is promoting for. Something to get one minimum wage homeless worker off the streets of washington. At the same time that 10. 00 an hour wage is going to hurt Small Business and will america and make no mistake most of america is ruled theyre trying to push around. Pig in a square hole and theyve been doing it over and over again and what happens is its a very soft mork approach to our nation is made of a 1000. Because its so nice you know we devised. A Single National formula based on existing government guidelines. Ok i think were very are. About the load. To me here you can hear people talk and. That was how you. Oh you wouldnt do you. Think let me ringback see do you can help me with a. Red ribbon you have. A little more. Here. You will lose your money. So here the road home we have a family show for women shelter in them and shelter so one of the big fears that our families have when they come down from the shelter is that all of us are. Child and Family Services is going to be involved in their getting their kids away i mean work very closely with. The c. P. S. We work very hard to reassure families that that thats not how it works their families are also subject to the whims of whether its economic instability the or family instability or health problems. Family is run out of resources and theyre not able to stay in their apartment anymore stay with family or stay with friends or stay in a hotel i mean. A lot of times by the time the families that walk through those doors theyve exhausted all of those resources. How are you getting so wet child. I mean yes so we have this huge playground there is. You know as a ramp for. All of the kids the stuff like that and still are still. They have this grassy area over here we try to keep the kids away from the gate just because of the semen on because this is the mens side of the shelter we are slide in the playground for the kids and stuff like that. Ive been on and off homelessness since having for the 1st 6 months of his life were stable and then i lost my job which intel lost my burman. But for you know for after that 6 months we did pretty well you know we stayed with friends here and there we stayed with family but it sank i kind of started to feel like i was a burden these people you know because then they have to deal with my kid having his little fits in this that. You know i got another job and i was paying for hotel rooms you know 2 weeks out of each page i can i just got really expensive really pricey so you get it youre just like all right well im going to keep doing it im going to do and i got to get up i got to work. Anyway having a kid a child with special abilities you kind of. You dont really get much time expression when youre a single parent you dont at all youre constantly on the go on doing this doing that picking up picking up that. So you resort to of course a drug that makes you stay weak there isnt that surprisingly i got off it by myself i didnt go to rehab or anything i just kind of kicked it. Ive been clean for 3 months. There are about 150 beds in this large storm area. For families who have small children it will be like if its a single mom in a small one or 2 year old will share one of these small little bunks. And each family is allowed one of these totes per person so this has to be able to fit basically all of your earthly belongings in it. And thats not a lot of space as you can tell. Its tough for families. And one of the great frustrations here in salt lake is that theres a substantial lack of Affordable Housing and so thats one of the barriers that clients have is finding a place that they can continue to afford after our assistance ends clients a lot of times face other barriers to getting housing whether its on their criminal background or they have evictions from prior apartments and so it can sometimes be really difficult for clients to find a place to live that will accept them with their background or with the funding from the road home. To help them get out of the rut that theyre in. Time of the time called her ration to repeat the same mantra sustainability. Is accelerate the transition to sustainable transport sustainability and a more equitable and sustainable well. They claim. Their production is completely harmless followed listening to the admin dumbass lieblich nothing really going to add god god you dumbass my models and got it done design the books on Companies Want us to feel good about buying their products while the damage is being done far away this is 2nd oldest lets get going dont even and i mean what is just Good Business im in and you missed me do you want any minute einstein theme time in the best of ad understood look to what is going in. Your kid out be bold with be at your what. Thousands of american men and women choose to serve in the countrys military and the decision. Every song came to a complete. The day that i was raped and. Told to show what theyd kill me and i see how it destroyed my life any screamed at me and he made me come in and he grabbed my arm and he raped me just berthing area if you take into account that women dont report because of the extreme retaliation and its probably somewhere near about half a 1000000 women have now been sexually assaulted in the us military rape is a very very traumatizing thing tat happen but ive never seen trauma like ive seen from women who are veterans who have suffered military sexual trauma reporting rape is more likely to get the victim punished and be offended and almost 10 year career which i was very invested in and i gave a sex offender who was not even put to justice or put on the registry this is simply an issue of our in violence male sexual predators for the large part of target whoever is there to prey upon whether thats man or when. I was that is what that is. Massive. Massive. Im still working on this one its called lost it will. Most people in america we fight a war we can start the flooding wars need after. This will be so low. She was caught in a war between you know we feel
