Is a public official who called a News Conference to announce what im about to share with you by now it seems the whole world knows that the reason the coronavirus is so insidious is because you dont have to have symptoms you dont even have to be symptomatic to pass it on to somebody else in other words anybody young people especially of course can show no symptoms they have no idea they even have the disease but still they can be carriers they can pass the disease to another person again everyone who watches the news everyone whos spoken to their doctor everyone who listens to Public Health officials knows this everyone that is except the governor of georgia. This man presides over the biggest state in the United States with a population of roughly 11000000 people. Brian kip called a News Conference to announce that hes now ordering residents to stay home why because he just found out that people who may not be symptomatic can still pass on this disease he just found this out you know fine and now that this virus is now transmitting before people see science. What weve been telling people from directives from the c. D. C. For weeks now that if you start feeling bad stay home those individuals could have been infected people before they ever felt bad we didnt know that until the last 24 hours and as dr toomey told me she goes this is a game changer he didnt know that until the last 24 hours dally hey its a game changer. Theres so much i could say but im going to refer to somebody else heres mark twain maybe the greatest plainest writer who ever picked up a pen and a paper heres how he would describe a public official who calls a News Conference to announce what he just learned mark twain that was his pen name Samuel Clemens was real name right advice to the governor from mark twain it is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt. Why is this so important well heres why because we here in the media in the United States in particular have been pointing out the missteps and criticisms of leaders all over the world we thought its important now to point out that you really dont have to go that far to find a public official who is worthy of criticism. This is the news of rick sanchez where we believe its time to do news again. Ok heres a list of the questions we think youll be asking after watching our newscast what does governor Jesse Ventura say about the coronavirus governance especially that governor the economy whats the latest and how much more can it take of this pandemic and what are n. B. A. Players to help the fight against kobe had 19 what are they doing all right all this week were going to bring you special coverage of the corona virus with updates from around the world constantly every hour on the hour everything you need to know to protect yourself and your family tracking coronavirus tonight the war of words between state officials in new york and federal officials in the white house has gotten even more ugly with downright vicious exchanges back and forth it began when new york senator Chuck Schumer criticized the president for being behind the eightball behind on testing and for not appointing a czar he says the president then immediately shot back with a tweet saying explain to crying Chuck Schumer that we do have a military man in charge of distributing goods a very talented admiral writes the president there is as the world is on the brink of hitting a milestone in the coronavirus epidemic joining us now from the global coronavirus d of the desk ben swan whos following this for us ben bring us up to date whats the latest. Has so many updates for you but if i could just speak really quickly to that bryan kim story you started off with the reason the governor of georgia had to make his statement acting like there was no information rick im here in atlanta is because the city of atlanta the largest city here and this is the capital of the state has already had a lockdown in place for over a week and the governor refused to institute one for the rest of the state thats why he had to act like there was new information because he was backtracking with the fact that he said he wasnt in the locked up of course information was not new information its not new information at all its something that weve known that now for weeks literally weeks heres some new information though for you ok number one the corona virus has now surpassed the number of 1000000 people infected worldwide it happened about a half hour ago that number officially has been logged now 1000000 people infected worldwide about 47000 people have died from the corona virus worldwide but that is a it is certainly a milestone and of course at this point as you know rick numbers are somewhat meaningless because in the infected numbers of just the numbers we know of meaning theres more test now so were getting more numbers the numbers of actually doubled in a week ok its good to know. Heres another one for you take a look at this video Los Angeles Police department speaking of lockdowns responding to a Birthday Party about 40 people showed up to a Birthday Party in l. A. And a line of Police Officers shows up to disperse the crowd threatening to arrest people if they do not leave now you know theres a lot of questions about lockdowns the constitutionality of them whether or not that should be happening at all the idea is that no more than 10 people gathered in a public place certainly but this is not a public place this was in a private home and it was a Birthday Party and yet the response from police in this video rick its. Stunning is one thing to call it an over use of power and abuse of power people being you know marched backwards by Police Officers and they get a line of Police Officers at one point they have up their night sticks you know respond. To a riot and its a group of family members all 40 people who showed up for a Birthday Party in los angeles you know heres the balancing 1st of all the police have really kind of nothing to do right now not only in los angeles but anywhere else so thats not a good thing i well i know i get it theres nothing you know that you go out there theres nothing going on theres not even cars to give tickets to but this this this balance that we have to find between Civil Liberties and the violation of perhaps Civil Liberties and making sure were all healthy i dont know where that line is yet i dont know where it is i dont know i really dont i think a lot of people are debating it right now and you know some of us the think that the lines already been crossed but speaking of which so could a scene like this come to a town near you and the reality is some of the new information coming out says absolutely the c. D. C. Is now saying along with dr tom friedman the director for the c. D. C. Saying that every city in the country is now in danger of becoming a hotspot of the coronavirus that no matter how big or how small if you do not abide by the lockdowns that you are cities in danger of being over well thats what were being told so i think were going to see more tension between this idea of Civil Liberties and Constitutional Rights versus what Public Health directors are telling us as the days and weeks wear on reza long as well as long as we dont get to the point where d we reached due to our days level in the philippines which was give it to our audience go ahead ben he said he tells police lets just shoot im sure you should im odd shoot him dead thats right ben thank you so much for that report well good stuff thanks the host of the world according to jesse here on our team america joining us fresh from a well deserved it says a governor Jesse Ventura so heres the i have to ask you because you were a governor a damn good one i think and theres a governor now in georgia and there are been others but this particular governor in georgia i dont know if you caught the top of our story said he just now found out that people who are not. Symptomatic can actually spread the disease what do you make of that. Well and make rick obviously the guy was asleep at the wheel. Thats the only thing i can say i mean i just came back from mexico where i live an hour from pavement and an hour from electricity i have no Television Contact i live its remotely as you possibly can and even though i do this new this all the way down to mexico off the grid an hour from pavement an hour from electricity no radios no televisions and yet i was aware that people who didnt show symptoms could pass this disease on all i can say is george good luck with your governor seriously though i do think someone in that position and im sure you did it when you were governor you have people around you who are smart in their particular area this is a time to listen to doctors and scientists right do you think from what youve seen too many politicians are trying to just blab their opinions out there rather than listening to the people who are supposed to know this stuff. Well youve got to remember something brains are being smart and paying attention isnt a prerequisite all you gotta do is commit to these 2 parties show loyalty to be used to parties. To get elected they dont care if youre intelligent or not they just want you to win and so obviously this guy could do that he won in georgia a very close race i bet a lot of people in georgia now are questioning their vote and yeah well we dont want to hammer him too much but i do want to ask you. This is a unique situation for you i dont know too many people whove been away and then suddenly came back to this new america whats happened like for you governor. Its strange ill give it to your rick what happened we were down in mexico or like i said i live remotely on the tip of the down there and what happened was the Mexican Government they didnt they didnt force us but they asked all the americans or people from the United States and canada to please just go home because they didnt have the capability it hasnt hit there yet but they felt that if it did hit the air they wont have the capability to take care of their own people much less all of us so i took that under consideration i actually left a week ahead of time i drove all the way back and i got to tell you this record traveling across the country right now is wonderful theres a lot of theres nobody out there are there are there well theres people on the roads to trucks are out there but not at the level that you expect them to be at the hotels none of the hotels are full you dont have to worry about getting a room the head very theyre a dime a dozen of course the gas stations with the price of gas now i was paying a buck 73. 00 driving home paying for gas so actually i say this i dont encourage people stay at home but right now it is a magnificent time to travel because everythings wonderful now heres one for you to think about rick do you think when this is all or do you think when all of this is lifted that gas prices of then going to shoot up to 4 dollars a gallon because theyre lower now because nobody nobody needs to buy any gas but watch what happens once this. Is over youre going to see gas prices go through the roof then are you suggesting some kind of artificial manipulation of the market no Something Like that would never happen governor. Kidding of course ill leave that to you ill leave that to you and you speculate out of. It out of Jesse Ventura its always a great pleasure to be able to have this. Conversation welcome back and nice. For an old guy getting this is the news with rick sanchez youre watching our special coverage. We will be right back. And were going to fulfill the repeated promises apollo to the people and promise to be you know weve all pots the future is pretty good. For a pretty long. Time now you want to 1st crack that. No. Ball 5 be cut cut cut. Cut cut cut cut cut coming out my yard. Your government and our government and all the other major governments of the world know whats going to happen and when its going to. But they havent told you and they havent told me they havent announced. Imagine something as big as the earth. Is going to cause tidal waves earthquakes volcanoes erupt and its going to chill. So very for a while right. My great grandfathers. Nobody would care about the law or prison so youd have lawlessness should have. A terrible life between now and the. But im back im rick sanchez lets talk about the proverbial elephant in the room shall we the coronavirus pandemic is bringing the economies both on wall street and main street to its knees maybe the best way to phrase it is that its on a ventilator and the ventilator is the fed thats just printing money like there is no tomorrow dont have a job well send you a check cant pay your mortgage send your money business going bankrupt whether its related to this or not dont worry were not going to let that happen a should the government be doing what its doing b. What happens when and if the gravy train finally leaves the station what are we going to be left with economically theres one guy one guy whos making a big name for himself providing both micro and Macro Economic lessons almost every single night on you tube in fact out just full disclosure here when i go home at night after doing what 22 newscasts in a row i slumped on the couch sometimes with an adult beverage and watch segments to learn a thing or 2 and maybe you could too i want to do should to him his name is George Gammon and good enough to join us now to kind of help us understand this so george if you would just take it away what is your take on this situation we find ourselves in. Well i think the economys going to struggle on a moving forward basis what weve done is weve inflated what we all call that everything bubble and thats a direct result of the fed in their intervention going back to the late eightys it doesnt start with how thats for sure but if you go look at the dot com bust they tried to fix that or paper over it by inflating another bubble that was the housing bubble and then 2008009 they had to create another asset bubble and it was what where we are today. Its always say my videos that the u. S. Economy is built on 3 things asset bubbles debt in confidence and i think the fed knows that very well so in your intro youre saying how theyre just printing money trying to paper over everything and just theyre literally throwing everything at it in the kitchen sink theyll probably do that in a future so its 125000000000 a day in quantitative easing they were doing committing to a trillion a day in the republic market now theyve gone in created a report market outside of the United States and what theyre trying to do in my opinion is get as much of the private sector Balance Sheet onto their Balance Sheet because if you have lets say equities or bond any type of asset on the feds Balance Sheet since they dont have a profit and loss if those assets take a 50 percent haircut then theoretically its not going to affect the economy and because the economy is so dependent upon those asset prices staying high i think thats pretty much going to be the feds game plan so the question really becomes what are the knock on effects of the fed taking their Balance Sheet to 10 trillion 20 trillion you name it and i think the release of all their long term is definitely going to the dollar so if thats the case how do we regular joes you know out here try and figure out whats going to happen in the future for for us not for the big guys on wall street just for us. Well i think what youre going to see is a state flay she marry type of environment and again there are no certainties there are only probabilities so what does that look like that looks like the 1970 s. From the standpoint of call it 10 percent plus inflation and thats the inflation that the government is willing to admit to right that its probably low right and then youre going to see high unemployment and i think the big difference between 2008009 and all the money printing the fed does that went into Financial Assets so a lot of you know the counter argument to what im saying is well georget didnt really create Price Inflation back then so the fed can go ahead and just print as much money as they want and were just going to see that movie replayed again but what theyre not understanding is before the fed created money through bank reserves. And its true that the primary dealer banks in the banks under the feds umbrella they have to take an action in order to get money into the real economy but now with the government doing their 2 trillion in stimulus or whatever it is i mean its probably going to a lot more than that theyre going to get that money into the real economy so its going to be chasing most likely fewer goods and services because of the supply chain disruptions that we see and the globalization and so youre going to most likely see Consumer Prices this that you buy at the Grocery Store every day is going to go up in price or assets come down and again that steak place in a type of environment stagflation he talks about it all the time i recommend you go see him on you tube hes good george thanks again hey come on back im looking forward to having another conversation with you. Yeah thank you for having me all right well as we mentioned at the top of the hour there is a possible friction between state governments and the federal government and today that really came to light in New York New York seems to be struggling with its ability to keep up with its very dense population having enough medical supplies to meet the demand or to correspond a drop in charges has the latest on the situation now from what weve come to know now is ground 0 thats new york city. Today officials tightening restrictions in new york as the city remains on lockdown you know right now as you can see new york citys used to be pretty busy right now but its Governor Andrew Cuomo ordering all playgrounds in new york city to close down saying that many people still are not complying with social distancing we agreed initially with the mayor that we would try compliance and the mayor was going to try to use the n. Y. P. D. To enforce compliance social distancing in playgrounds it is still a problem were going to close down the city playgrounds and leave the open Spaces Available as a number of new coronavirus cases continue to batter new york city with more than 270. 00 deaths and nearly 4000. 00 cases reported in 24 hours doctors on the front lines of the pandemic warning that hospitals are increasingly overwhelmed unfortunately i just think that this is a situation thats going to be going all around all over every hospital unfortunately begin to see this happen elmhurst hospital in queens in the borough with the most coronavirus cases in the city possibly hit the hardest the 545. 00 bed facility full with coburn 1000 patients its terrifying here because were downwind of this of a hospital thats a percentage of the death of the National Crisis so yeah im terrified to go out to officials now issuing new guidance for m. S. Workers in the city and long island saying that patients in cardiac arrest would not be transported to hospitals if they cannot be saved in the field at the hospital itself there overrun with patients you know your message last night broke a record we handle 6500 calls and while the Navy Hospital ship comfort and the iconic central park try to relieve the burden already seeing patients new york city mayor bill de blasio says that the city needs thousands of more hospital beds we need to build out an additional number of 60. 5000 hospital beds in the city of new york by the end of april. We already have a tremendous start the 20000 beds i say they were already there the governor warning the crisis could last for months and causes many as 16000 deaths if this model is correct. This could go through the summer officials are ramping up testing with more than 238000 people tested with the number of total confirmed cases in new york surpassing 90000 the governor says that the number is expected to grow in the coming weeks as they continue to increase testing so far 600000 test kits from a general and corning have become available and another 500000 tests are coming soon reporting in new york Trinity Chavez r t. Everybody seems to want to know when is the vaccine for this strain of the coronavirus going to be available heres what we can tell you some patients as you know are tested in washington already the european manufacturers are going to be testing massively beginning in june the vaccine itself will at the earliest be available january of next year and believe it or not theyre saying that super fast for situations like this interestingly enough some n. B. A. Players are helping to hasten this joining us now Steve Christie to explain what it is that they are doing to hasten this possibly well rick this is called the covert 19 convalescent plasma project that some n. B. A. Players we know at least for one is marcus smart the other 3 are not in this right now but for n. B. A. Players who have recovered as we know that some of them were infected with kobe 19 were recovered theyve developed those antibodies in their blood theyre now donating this is a part of this experiment was there one of the 1st ones right and these guys are young and strong and athletic and healthy guys so when they recovered obviously as we expected they would they now have these antibodies that could be very useful to some higher. Risk patients now im not a doctor so let me read you a quote of why exactly theyre using these these n. B. A. Players the he says dr Michael Jordan joyner says these are big men with blood volumes and as a result they have a lot of plasma volume frequently people who are physically trained also have an increase in their plasma volume from what you would expect from them just being regular sized guys so we believe the treatment can be disease modifying a reduced duration and severity in some patients i would have been cool if you would have said dr Michael Jordan Michael Joyner close can you imagine it coincidence patriots going to its ok big story today robert kraft the owner chartered his own team plane there the new England Patriots team playing to china to pick up 1200000 and 95 mask those very important ones that Health Care Professionals need to protect themselves from the virus especially new york especially new york which by the way of those 1200000 theyve dedicated 300000 of the mass to new york they are now in the states from china they picked him up early yesterday morning he spent 2000000. 00 out robert half 2000000. 00 of his own money to do that that plane thats right thats plenty so russia send supplies china send supplies new york is doing well with those countries were supposed to hate along right interesting. Novak the world number one tennis player i think you said you wanted to play tennis with me this weekend well you know Novak Djokovic if we cant find a court we could try this we could use frying pans joke of it with his brother in his house thats his brother marco there who is also a tennis player but Novak Djokovic to play with and they get the memo you know that would be going over great with my wife sure yeah yeah yeah how much how much of our furniture and stuff can i break in the house yeah exactly by the way member the other day the tweeners you saw a couple in there with the frying pan and novak look at that red that was like a 20 shot rally there at one of those the chairs they had a set of chairs for a little with the net some sort of couch in between as the net and the chairs and the apple those chairs look like something out of like from tsar nicholas right you know hes a very rich man theyre probably pure gold they could be right yeah yeah him and Michael Jordan yeah but dr michael.
